Though most likely the result of some weird mutation, most people seem to think that the human-like animal was the result of bestiality.
Erhan Elibol, a vet, performed a Caesarean section on the animal to take the lamb out, but was horrified to see that the features of the lamb's snout bore a striking resemblance to a human face.
“I’ve seen mutations with cows and sheep before. I’ve seen a one-eyed calf, a two-headed calf, a five-legged calf. But when I saw this youngster I could not believe my eyes. His mother could not deliver him so I had to help the animal,” the 29-year-old veterinary said.
The lamb’s head had human features on – the eyes, the nose and the mouth – only the ears were those of a sheep.
Veterinarians said that the rare mutation most likely occurred as a result of improper nutrition since the fodder for the lamb’s mother was abundant with vitamin A, CNNTurk.com reports.
As early as September 2009, a similar story came out of Zimbabwe, featuring a goat instead of an ewe:
The mutant baby born with a human-like head stayed alive for several hours until the frightened village residents killed him.
The governor of the province where the ugly goat was born said that the little goat was the fruit of unnatural relationship between the female goat and a man.
"This incident is very shocking. It is my first time to see such an evil thing. It is really embarrassing," he reportedly said. "The head belongs to a man while the body is that of a goat. This is evident that an adult human being was responsible. Evil powers caused this person to lose self control. We often hear cases of human beings who commit bestiality but this is the first time for such an act to produce a product with human features," he added.
The mutant creature was hairless. Local residents said that even dogs were afraid to approach the bizarre animal. The locals burnt the body of the little goat, and biologists had no chance to study the rare mutation.
Bestiality or Vitamin A overdose, it’s unclear. What is clear is that Alaska will have none of it. Though existing state legislation already prohibits cruelty against animals, the new law specifically mentions sex with animals, according to PoliticsDaily citing Fairbanks News Miner:
Rep. Bob Lynn, who sponsored the bill, says animal abusers are more likely to prey on children or vulnerable adults. Animal control commissioners in Fairbanks have lined up to show their support, saying Lynn's legislation will give them legal options for dealing with cases involving sexually abused animals. A veterinarian from the Gastineau Humane Society in Juneau said the state faces a "cycle of abuse."
Ronnie Rosenberg, the chairwoman of the Fairbanks commission, told the state senate committee Tuesday that volunteers at animal shelters regularly treat animals traumatized by humans attempting to engage in sexual acts with them. Last summer, an active duty soldier was accused of sodomizing a dachshund that eventually needed medical care and a more recent case reportedly involved a puppy.
"It's very important that we have the [legal] tools so the troopers can pursue these," Rosenberg said of animal sexual cruelty cases.
Alaska law prohibits the killing or torturing of animals. The new bill would add "knowingly . . . engag[ing] in sexual conduct with an animal" to the list of practices that are considered misdemeanors.
Upon breaking up with her bf, Michelle Owen decided to take her laptop to the police and have it searched, accusing her BF of downloading child porn onto her laptop. Police searched it and found only videos of her having sex with a dog.
Porn Sting Goes To The Dogs
Attempt to ensnare boyfriend comes back to bite Indiana woman
MARCH 18--Meet Michelle Owen. Concerned that an ex-boyfriend had used her laptop to search for child pornography, the Indiana woman asked police to search the computer for illegal images, but had her plan backfire when cops discovered two videos of her engaged in illicit acts with a dog. Owen, 24, was charged last week with two felony bestiality counts in connection with the video files, which a detective found in the laptop's "recycle bin." At the time Owen asked cops to search the computer, she was locked up in the Johnson County Jail on a public intoxication charge (which violated the terms of her release in a prior drunk driving case). According to a police affidavit, a copy of which you'll find here, a cop told Owen that he had found videos of her on the laptop and asked if she "knew what those files might be." Owen, pictured in the below mug shot, replied, "The one with the dog." Cops believe that the dog in question, Toby, is a beagle. After asking if she was "going to be charged with this," Owen said that the videos "were just something she did when she was drunk and barely remembers it," adding that she tried to "delete them the next day when she was sober."
Kenneth Morris, a 54 yo man from Greater Manchester, angry that his girlfriend had left him, started distributing a video with her performing oral sex on a dog. When officers searched his house they found DVDs of Morris having sex with many different women and he was arrested. (???) Sadly, the police / justice action is idiotic. If he cheated on his gf, does that make sucking a dog a non-crime?!
As Aftenposten shows, Norway has a very extensive experience in this area.
In 2003, a pig farmer found a former cop raping his pigs. He managed to snap a few photos which were sufficient for a conviction.
"It was hard to comprehend what I was in fact seeing," said the Skien farmer. He managed to get nine shots of the former policeman he spotted sexually assaulting his pigs.
Telemark police said the case is closed and the man fined NOK 8,000 (USD 1,060) for violating animal protection laws.
"He has abused these animals in such a way that violated the animal protection act. The man has admitted guilt and accepted the fine," Telemark deputy police commissioner Runar Karlsen told VG.
The farmer decided to talk about the incident because of village rumors that he has been spreading evil gossip about a respected citizen.
The farmer was on a regular trip out to the pens to feed his herd - five sows and a boar, which were kept in a large fence bordering the woods a few hundred meters from his farm.
"Then I saw a man standing among the pigs, inside the electrical fence. Suddenly he took off his underpants and stood there naked from the waist down. Then things started to happen that I didn't think were possible," the farmer said.
"I took nine pictures of the man in action. It was embarrassing delivering the film for development, and I explained in the photo shop what had happened," he said.
Police said that the photographs were central to resolving the case.
A 2006 article suggests that animal bordellos are common in both Norway and Denmark:
The country tried to enact a ban in 2007 after veterinarians discussed this special kind of abuse:
According to a 2006 survey of 650 veterinarians last year, bestiality - sex with animals - occurs far more often than people think.
"Every fifth veterinarian has either established or strongly suspected the sexual abuse of one of its animal patients. The extent of sexual abuse of animals is far greater than we had reason to believe at the beginning," said Live Kleveland of the Norwegian Animal Welfare Alliance.
She said that bestiality was first and foremost a problem with farming animals like cows, pigs, and sheep but also extended to domestic pets like cats and dogs, as well as sporting animals like horses.

A Vice TV documentary (censored since it first appeared a few years back) featured interviews with Andreea Beetz, revealing that in certain villages sex with animals (usually a donkey) is a rite of passage. Women are expected to be virgins at marriage while boys are expected to be experienced. Fathers take their sons to a donkey so that everybody is happy. The documentary even features a village man doing a donkey for the camera.
